Whilst Jack was visiting during his half-term break we also went to Hartsholme Park. I go here quite often as it is very near and there is always some wildlife activity that I like to photograph. During the Autumn and Winter months the only real activity is bird based but some visitors come that we don’t normally see during the rest of the year. Additionally the birds also have a different plumage this time of year, for example the Black-headed gull in the gallery has only a small amount of black behind the eye, in the summer most of the head is a dark-browny black colour (hence the name of this bird).
