Adobe Camera Raw Update Release Candidate now out

Adobe has announced Lightroom v4.1 and ACR 7.2 release candidates. The update includes many bug fixes in the current version of the software and the support of many many new cameras. My interest is in the Sony RX100 support; the full list of supported cameras is as follows:

  • Canon EOS 650D / Rebel T4i
  • Canon EOS M
  • Fuji FinePix F800EXR
  • Leaf Credo 40
  • Leaf Credo 60
  • Nikon 1 J2
  • Panasonic DMC-FZ200
  • Panasonic DMC-G5
  • Panasonic DMC-LX7
  • Pentax K-30
  • Sony DSC-RX100

The update also includes lots of new lens profiles too. The full detail of the update can be found on the Adobe Labs site here for the Camera Raw update and here for the Lightroom update.

You will need to bear in mind that the updates are release candidates at this time; whilst they will have been tested by Adobe there may still be issues with the software and this should be considered until the final versions are related.
