Like all of the Disney parks we visited I was really surprised about how much fun there was to be had by people of all ages. Whilst some of the attractions were clearly aimed at the younger Disney fan there was plenty there that I remember enjoying when I was younger (Star Wars and Indiana Jones for example); this coupled with some of the shows made for an enjoyable day.

If I had to limit myself to my top 4 favourites they would be: Star Tours; Twilight Zone Tower of Terror; Lights, Motor, Action Extreme Stunt Show and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

The Star Tours was a ride based on the Star Wars universe where you are in a multi-seated motion simulator with 3D visuals on the screen. You take a flight through various places made famous by the 6 films. Before and after the ride are intricate models (some full size) that can be explored. There is also an option for younger padawans to take part in some basic light-sabre training before meeting Darth Vader and a couple of Stormtroopers.

The Twight Zone Tower of Terror is a very popular ride. It starts with you sitting in a flight elevator (seats around 10 people as two rows of 5) and then after being taken up to the top of the tower you ride through some sets from the show along with the authentic theme music. The great part is when you get to the front of the tower and then the elevator (the clue is in the name) will drop you many times from the top of the tower. Simultaneous to this are the windows at the front of the tower that slide open and shut sideways which gives the illusion that you are moving up and down diagonally. Needless to say every time you drop your stomach is a few seconds behind you and every time one of the upper windows open you can see how far up you are!

The Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show is a live action show featuring a myriad of cars (some of them specially constructed stunt cars) and stunt-men performing some of the scenes from movies and showing how they were done. The drivers in the show are all very good and the show is very entertaining.

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular was another show and demonstrated how some of the scenes were shot. All of the action is performed by stunt men and there are some extras slots for the studio audience too. Nearly all of the best action scenes are present and give a good nostalgic feel to the whole show.
