Olympus release Firmware 2.1 for OM-D E-M1

According to 43rumors Olympus have released a number of firmware updates for their OM-D and PEN cameras for the forthcoming 40-150mm f2.8 PRO lens. The firmware is meant to improved the Autofocus (AF) accuracy of the lens.

What we don’t know is if this firmware was in the hands (or more accurately installed on the cameras) of the various testers out there that had the first production copies of the lenses.

The cameras involved are as follows, the new version number is in brackets:

  • E-M1 (2.1)
  • E-M5 (2.1)
  • E-M10 (1.2)
  • E-P5 (1.6)
  • E-P3 (1.5)
  • E-PL7 (1.1)
  • E-PL6 (1.1)
  • E-PL5 (1.3)
  • E-PL3 (1.5)
  • E-PM2 (1.3)
  • E -PM1 (1.5)
  • Although these updates are available on the Japanese site, they are not available on the UK site yet. The OM-D E-M1 firmware update will most likely be available from here when they are.
